Power Line Project    1976-1978

This social documentary project followed the three-year struggle by farmers and their neighbors living near the Canadian border of NY state as they fought to stop construction of high voltage (765kv) power lines from crossing their farmlands and fields.  Scientific evidence was reporting serious health effects on humans, animals and plants. Farmers rallied community support, organized marches, committed civil disobedience and spent time in local jails, but in the end, the lines were constructed and operate today.
